New 2017 Ford Fusion at Sheridan Ford for New Castle, DE
The Ford Fusion receives a plethora of upgrades for 2017. Among them are the new Sync 3 infotainment system, the ultra-luxe Platinum trim level, a powerful engine in the new V6 Sport model and refreshed front-end styling. The 2017 Ford Fusion answers a lot of transportation questions. If you want a practical and affordable family sedan, it has you covered. It's also an eco-friendly hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The new Platinum and Sport models promise luxury and performance, respectively, and the Fusion remains a high-tech champ. Highway cruising is commendably quiet and composed, and the well-engineered seats make the 2017 Ford Fusion a good companion for all-day interstate hauls.
Under the Fusion's Hood
The 2017 Fusion respects the driver and commands respect from everyone on the road. With five stunning models ranging from gas to hybrid to plug-in hybrid, Fusion offers plenty of ways to meet and exceed your driving needs. Whether you're looking for power or efficiency or both, you'll find a choice of three available powerful yet efficient EcoBoost® engines, and the V6 Sport, which is, quite simply, designed to thrill. There are six different ways to motivate your 2017 Fusion. The base 2.5-liter 4-cylinder exists, and you should skip it. Instead, start at the SE sedan, which comes standard with the 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, with the option of upgrading to the 2.0-liter version. The 2.0-liter is standard in the Titanium and Platinum models. Fusion Sport comes with a new-for-Fusion 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 with 325 horsepower, making it the most powerful car in its class. The two electrically augmented Fusion models -- Fusion Hybrid and Hybrid Energi plug-in -- use a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motor coupled to a continuously variable automatic transmission for excellent fuel economy; the Energi has up to 21 miles of EV range. AWD is available with the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder.

With solid power, excellent fuel economy, distinctive styling and a wide array of tech features, the 2017 Ford Fusion is a great choice for a midsize sedan. The Ford Fusion features fuel-efficient turbocharged engines; sharp handling; quiet cabin; advanced technology and safety features; improved touchscreen interface; and available all-wheel drive. The Fusion is the first vehicle in its class to offer inflatable rear safety belts. These available rear outboard safety belts help distribute crash-force energy across more of the torso area than traditional belts, which can help reduce the risk of injury, while providing support to the head and neck. Radar in the rear quarter panels detects whether a vehicle is in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror.
