Capability

The 2019 Ford Escape has optional Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive. 4WD sends power to all four wheels to provide better traction where you need it.

When properly equipped, the 2019 Escape can tow up to 3,500 lbs. Variable Assist Power Steering in the 2019 Escape allows the driver to maneuver easier through tight turns and maintain better control at higher speeds.

The 2019 Ford Escape is also equipped with AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control and Curve Control, both features that keep the Escape firmly planted through sharp curves and other situations in which you want to stay smoothly on the road.

The 2019 Escape also features Enhanced Active Park Assist1, a technology that helps guide you into a parallel parking space. It will let you know when and where to shift and move either forward or in reverse.

Safety

Driver safer and smarter with the Ford Safe and Smart™ package1, now available in the 2019 Ford Escape. These features engage automatically when needed and will make you question how you ever drove without them. These include:

  • Driver-activated front rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Auto high-beam headlamps
  • BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with brake support
  • Panel roof included in the Ford Safe and Smart Plus Package

Other Features

The Escape also offers more cargo room. With the rear seats folded up, the Escape provides 34 cu.ft. of cargo space (26.9 cu.ft. in the Envision) and 68 cu.ft. of cargo space with the rear seats folded down (57.3 cu.ft. in the Envision).

A safety feature designed to prevent inattentive and tired drivers from potentially crashing, a driver alert monitor is available in the 2019 Ford Escape. This alert makes a warning sound and suggests the driver take a break when it senses they have been driving too long and aren’t paying their full attention. This feature is available on the SE, SEL and Titanium trim options of the Escape.

The 2019 Escape features Ford engineered EcoBoost® engines, created specifically for Ford vehicles for maximum power and efficiency.
