The 2019 Ford Escape features a driver alert monitor which is designed to prevent inattentive and tired drivers from potentially swerving or causing an accident. This alert makes a warning sound and suggests the driver take a break when the driver is perceived to not be paying their full attention. This feature is available on the SE, SEL and Titanium trim options of the Escape.


The 2019 Ford Escape features three engine options:

  • 2.5L I-4 engine
  • 1.5L turbocharged EcoBoost® engine
  • 2.0L twin-scroll EcoBoost® engine

The 2019 Ford Escape has various features that make it a very capable Ford SUV. It features optional Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive. 4WD sends power to all four wheels to provide better traction where you need it. When properly equipped, the 2019 Escape can tow up to 3,500 lbs. Variable Assist Power Steering in the 2019 Escape allows the driver to maneuver easier through tight turns and maintain better control at higher speeds. Enhanced Active Park Assist1 uses the rear camera and other sensors to help you parallel park perfectly every time.

The 2019 Ford Escape is also equipped with AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control and Curve Control, both features that keep the Escape firmly planted through sharp curves and other rocky or hilly situations.


Both SUVs offer seating for five. The Escape also has plenty of spacious cargo room. With the rear seats folded up, the Escape provides 34 cu.ft. of cargo space and 68 cu.ft. of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.
