Capability

The 2019 Ford Escape features three engine options:

  •         2.5L I-4 engine
  •         1.5L turbocharged EcoBoost® engine
  •         2.0L twin-scroll EcoBoost® engine

If you need to bring a little extra cargo, the 2019 Escape is capable of towing 3,500 lbs. When properly equipped. You also have the choice of the available Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive. 4WD sends power to all four wheels to provide better traction where you need it. Variable Assist Power Steering in the 2019 Escape allows the driver to maneuver easier through tight turns and maintain better control at higher speeds. Enhanced Active Park Assist1 uses the rear camera and other sensors to help you parallel park perfectly every time.

The 2019 Ford Escape is also equipped with AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control and Curve Control, both features that use reduced engine power and braking as needed to keep the Escape firmly planted through sharp curves and other rocky or hilly situations.

Safety

The Ford Safe and Smart™ package1 is now an available feature in the 2019 Ford Escape. These features use sensors and cameras to automatically provide you the assistance you may need while driving with an alert. They include:

  • Driver-activated front rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Auto high-beam headlamps
  • BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with brake support
  • Panel roof included in the Ford Safe and Smart Plus Package

The 2019 Ford Escape features a driver alert monitor which is designed to prevent inattentive and tired drivers from potentially swerving or causing an accident. This alert makes a warning sound and suggests the driver take a break when the driver is perceived to not be paying their full attention. This feature is available on the SE, SEL and Titanium trim options of the Escape.

Cargo

Both SUVs offer seating for five. The Escape also has plenty of spacious cargo room. With the rear seats folded up, the Escape provides 34 cu.ft. of cargo space and 68 cu.ft. of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.
