November 29th, 2018 by

Sheridan Ford welcomes the addition of the 2019 Ford Fusion to our lot! Now is the time to do your homework on the new Ford Fusion as we approach the new model year. The Fusion still comes available as either a gas model, hybrid model or Energi plug-in hybrid model (availability depends on trim level). You may also consider the Energi model for both environmental reasons and federal and state tax incentives.

The 2019 Ford Fusion is available with three engine options within the gas models:

  • 0-L EcoBoost® engine
  • 7-L EcoBoost® engine (standard on the V6 sport, delivers 325 HP and 380 lb.-ft. of torque)

The engine in the hybrid options is a 2.0-L I-4 Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine and electric motor combination that delivers 188 HP.

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is available on the SE and Titanium models, and standard on the V6 Sport model. Auto Start-Stop technology is standard on the 1.5-L EcoBoost® and 2.0-L EcoBoost®.

Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 Assist™ is new this model year within Ford vehicles. Drive safer with this comprehensive safety package that includes:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking*
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®)
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Rear View Camera
  • Automatic high-beam lighting

This model year will feature the same great technological features and compatibilities you know and love: FordPass™ Connect, SYNC® 3, SiriusXM® Radio, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Why a Hybrid

Consider a hybrid or Energi plug-in hybrid to get the most efficient use of power in your Fusion. The Energi plug-in hybrid allows you choose how you want to use your Fusion’s power:

  • Decide whether you want to use gas power, electric power or a combo.
  • Auto EV mode uses plug-in power when possible and switches to gas when its needed (like if you need to charge the electric motor).
  • EV Now mode will generally use plug-in power.
  • EV Later mode will conserve your plug-in power to save for later.

You’ll have the opportunity to charge at home or at a charging station. A full charge and full tank of gas has an estimated driving range of 610 miles. Additionally, the Energi plug-in hybrid uses Regenerative Braking to reuse up to 94% of the power used when braking. This power will be sent to the battery to be stored for later use.
